The Secretary-General of Kataib Hezbollah in Iraq, Hajj Abu Hussein al-Hamidawi, stated in a statement marking the defeat of Trump and his party in the U.S. presidential elections that the coming phase demands a reassessment of existing policies, the correction of imbalances, and the addressing of distortions left behind by Trump’s policies and projects.

Foremost among these priorities, he emphasized, is

“restoring Iraq’s independent decision-making and sovereignty and correcting its course,”

describing this as

“a responsibility that cannot be delayed.”

In his statement, issued on November 4, 2026, al-Hamidawi described Trump’s defeat as a

“resounding defeat,”

arguing that it represents

“the beginning of greater transformations”

whose consequences could extend to the next presidential elections.

He further stressed that

“expelling America from West Asia and reducing its influence is no longer merely a wish or a slogan, but has become a reality imposed by a new balance of power.”

He added that what the region is witnessing

“is not merely the end of one round, but the beginning of a new historical phase in which the balance of power is shifting and projects of domination and arrogance are retreating.”

Addressing those he described as

“Trump’s slaves,”

including al-Jolani, Tom Barrack, and Kushner, the Secretary-General of Kataib Hezbollah declared:

“Woe to you! The dustbin of history is your destiny.”

Al-Hamidawi also asserted that the “martyrs of the Axis” share in the joy of this “victory,” foremost among them

“the martyr Sayyed Ali Khamenei.”
