Caught without full military preparedness

Caught without full military preparedness, Riyadh responded by launching successive strikes against the headquarters of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, allegedly in direct coordination with U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), thereby deepening its involvement in the conflict.

Yet even as Barak Ravid later reported Riyadh’s current desire for de-escalation and efforts to cool the front in order to avoid further retaliation, the argument advanced here maintains that such calls amount to another attempt at strategic deception.

From this perspective, the Napoleonic lesson remains decisive: the task must never be left unfinished, nor should this conservative monarchy once again be allowed to survive behind the barricades of deception and political maneuvering. Unless the pillars of what is described here as a conspiratorial regional order are crippled and made to bear severe costs, it will continue pursuing the same course.

Within this framework, the steadfastness and battlefield capabilities demonstrated by Iraqi and Yemeni fighters are presented as evidence that they possess both the determination and the operational capacity to impose devastating costs on the Saudi system.

According to this viewpoint, that trajectory must be pursued to its conclusion in order to uproot what is characterized as an American instrument in the region and permanently end its influence.
