CENTCOM announces resumption of naval blockade on Iran

The Persian Gulf

▪️ The United States Central Command (CENTCOM), under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief, announced the resumption of a naval blockade on maritime traffic traveling to and from Iranian ports, effective July 14 at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.

▪️ Central Command confirmed that it will enforce this blockade on all vessels doing business with Iranian ports and coastal areas, while remaining committed to facilitating the movement of navigation for all other compliant vessels in regional waters.

▪️ Central Command also called on mariners in the Gulf of Oman and the entrances to the Strait of Hormuz to monitor maritime advisories and communicate with US naval forces via Channel 16 to ensure their safety.
