As Washington pushes "Project Freedom" into the Strait of Hormuz, the gap between White House rhetoric and regional reality has become a chasm. President Trump recently claimed that Iran’s military is "gone"—no navy, no air force, no leaders—following Operation Epic Fury and the February 28 strikes. This narrative of a "destroyed" Iran is increasingly being challenged not just by the Axis of Resistance, but by those within Trump’s own former inner circle.

The "Madman" Theory in Washington

Ty Cobb, Trump’s former White House lawyer, has sounded the alarm, describing the President as "out of control" and exhibiting "delusions of grandeur." Calls for the 25th Amendment are no longer fringe; they are fueled by Trump’s 4 AM social media claims of "total victory" while the US military remains bogged down in a war of attrition.

The Resilience of the Field

Despite the killing of senior leaders and the claims of "decimated" hardware, the facts on the ground tell a different story:

• Failed Blockade: The IRGC recently dismissed US claims of successful commercial transits as "baseless," reporting that no oil tankers have moved under US protection in recent hours.

• The Drone Threat: Just yesterday, US forces were forced to intercept missiles and drones targeting the UAE and Oman—a clear sign that Iran’s "non-existent" missile and drone programs are still operationally lethal.
