Developments in Iran-US Talks in Switzerland...

▪️ Talks commenced today, Sunday, in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, between Iran and the United States, with Qatar and Pakistan participating as mediators. The American delegation is headed by JD Vance, while the Iranian delegation is headed by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
▪️ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that the meeting will last for one day, and comes within the framework of following up on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed between Tehran and Washington.
He added that the most prominent files on the table include:
Washington's inability to guarantee the continuation of the ceasefire in Lebanon.
Exemptions for the sale of Iranian oil.
The release of frozen Iranian assets.
▪️ These talks come after an agreement on a 60-day ceasefire during the course of the negotiations; however, tension resurfaced following the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announcement yesterday, Saturday, closing the Strait of Hormuz.
▪️ On the other hand, the US Central Command confirmed that commercial maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz continues to proceed normally.
