Emirati Aircraft Lands in Tehran… Iran Warns of a “War of Surprises” Extending Beyond Oil and the Strait of Hormuz
Tehran | 31 October 2026
Amid Gulf diplomatic efforts, Tehran is intensifying its deterrence warnings in anticipation of another military confrontation with Washington and Tel Aviv.
Notable Emirati Movement
The flight-tracking account MenchOsint reported the arrival of an Emirati Global 5000 aircraft, registered A6-RJC, in Tehran from Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi.
The identities of its passengers and the purpose of its visit remain unknown, as regional diplomatic contacts continue in an effort to prevent renewed war.
Iran Expands Its Target Bank
CNN quoted a senior Iranian security official as saying that Tehran has expanded its potential targets to include artificial intelligence infrastructure associated with US and Israeli military operations.
The official warned of global consequences extending beyond energy markets and the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that the next confrontation would be a prolonged
“war of surprises.”
Iran, he said, would not allow Washington to impose a short, intensive military campaign on its own terms.
Geopolitical Assessment
Tehran is seeking to expand its deterrence strategy beyond military bases and energy infrastructure to include economic and technological interests, raising the potential cost of any US–Israeli attack.
Meanwhile, Gulf diplomatic activity reflects concerns that renewed hostilities could spill over into countries hosting American military bases and strategic interests.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Iran’s message is clear: initiating a war does not mean Washington and Tel Aviv will be able to control its duration or geographical scope.
However, declared threats do not necessarily indicate a final decision to carry them out, while diplomatic efforts to contain the escalation remain underway.
