The Hamas movement has announced the dissolution of the "Government Emergency Committee" in the Gaza Strip, confirming the resignation of its head and the transfer of administrative duties to the "National Committee for Managing Gaza." This step comes as part of a strategic shift through which the movement is repositioning itself from a "governing authority" back to a "liberation movement," in an attempt to recover from the repercussions of the war and return to its organizational roots.
In contrast, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar considered this move a "maneuver" aimed at circumventing disarmament demands, comparing it to the "Hezbollah model"—where civil services are left to a technocratic government while Hamas retains actual military control.
Israel maintains its position calling for the complete demilitarization of Gaza and the dismantling of the infrastructure of armed movements.
