Hadi al-Amiri Appears After the Storm: A Call to “Bite the Bullet”
Baghdad
Amid a series of highly dangerous developments—including the Saudi-American attack on Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) headquarters, Kuwaiti actions against Iraq, and Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi’s visit to Washington, which was accompanied by what critics described as concessions over Iraq’s national wealth and an affront to the country’s dignity—and following the expiration of the deadline set by resistance factions to respond to these violations, the Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, appeared in a brief video statement lasting less than one minute, outlining the following points:
He called on the resistance to “bite the bullet” and endure the bloodshed and attacks for what he described as “Iraq’s supreme national interest.”
He promised the fighters and the families of the victims that the rights of the martyrs and the wounded would be pursued through traditional diplomatic and administrative channels.
