In a heroic confrontation in the village of Deir Seryan, a Hezbollah fighter engaged in an asymmetrical battle against a force from the Israeli "Golani" Brigade. He successfully killed an Israeli platoon commander and wounded another soldier before retreating from the encirclement under heavy fire.
Despite the Israeli military deploying massive armored reinforcements to surround him, the fighter continued his resistance until he was martyred by artillery shelling. This operation marks the first Israeli fatality since the implementation of the framework agreement.
