Sovereignty and Weaponry:
Qassem emphasized that the issue of the Resistance’s weaponry is a purely internal Lebanese matter and is entirely unrelated to negotiations with the enemy. He clarified that discussions regarding a "National Defense Strategy" will take place within the Lebanese domestic sphere following the cessation of aggression, based on a state vision aimed at ending the occupation.
Negotiation Mechanism:
He called on the Lebanese authorities to rely on indirect negotiations, warning against sliding into direct talks that would grant Israel "free gains." He also noted that international understandings (Iranian-American) could serve as a powerful leverage to end the war. Furthermore, he stressed that the Resistance will not return to the pre-March 2 equations and will continue to fight until the enemy despairs of achieving its goals through force.
