Highlights from Sheikh Naim Qassem’s Speech
🫶 Lebanon faces an existential aggression aimed at erasing its sovereignty and land. Western talk of “Israel’s security” is a cover for the project of “Greater Israel.” The enemy, unable to strike fighters, targets civilians, homes, and municipalities. Resistance is a national duty—this is not about one party or sect, but the whole country. No concessions: Lebanon must not be pressured, the demand is on Israel and the U.S. to implement agreements and stop aggression. 42 years of resistance proved its ability to inflict pain on the enemy when the time is right. Hezbollah, Amal, national forces, diverse communities, and the Lebanese Army together form a national wealth capable of achievements.
Ironic twist: The enemy dreams of “Greater Israel,” but keeps waking up to “Greater Resistance.”
Haaretz:
An Israeli security source: “Abu Shabab militias” are tasked with escorting Palestinians entering from Rafah crossing up to the Israeli checkpoint before reaching Gaza.
Critical Note: This is how crossings are managed: local militias turned into subcontractors of occupation, playing the role of forced intermediaries between Palestinians and the Israeli military. The irony is that Israel projects an image of “security control,” while in reality it outsources repression to groups whose only function is to facilitate domination.

After Prime Minister Nawaf Salam’s statements in Dubai about “stability and safety in Lebanon,” here are the figures from just the first month of 2026:
106 Israeli air raids
26 drone strikes
99 sonic bomb and flare attacks
24 incursions and house demolitions
49 shelling and sweeping assaults
16 martyrs
37 wounded
How we see it :
What “safety” is he speaking of while ignoring dozens of raids, casualties, and destruction?
Stability isn’t measured by smiles at summits—it’s measured by ending aggression on the ground.
