On the occasion of Judiciary Week and the anniversary of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Beheshti, Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei sent a message calling on the judiciary to intensify its efforts in vindicating the rights of the Iranian people harmed by international crimes and global aggression. He emphasized that these cases must be pursued seriously in both domestic and international courts.
In his message, he stressed the need to leverage the confessions of enemy leaders regarding their crimes to open legal pathways. Emphasizing the necessity of moving forward with the prosecution of the perpetrators, he stated:
"The necessity of paying attention to and focusing on implementing the directives of the Martyr Commander during his last meeting with judicial officials in June of last year regarding the investigation of crimes committed in the 'Second Imposed War' requires extending this to the 'Third Imposed War.' Continuous follow-up is needed until a judicial ruling is reached and competent personnel are tasked with executing it. This measure itself will prevent the recurrence of such crimes."
Khamenei pointed out in his message that these crimes—which spanned from targeting civilians and vital centers to the martyrdom of the commander mujahideen —constitute thousands of human rights and legal cases. These impose a historic responsibility on the judiciary to hold the perpetrators accountable and inflict just punishment upon them.
