The plant will be run by Bengaluru-based DCX Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries' ELTA Systems through the joint ELTX Systems venture, ThePrint reported.
The site in the Shoolagiri Industrial Area is set to be complete by April 2027 and will be a center for manufacturing, integration and testing of advanced radars under strict quality and security standards, "boosting Indian home-grown defense".
"This groundbreaking marks another significant milestone in IAI's expanding activity in India, carried out in close partnership with local industry and in full alignment with the government's 'Make in India' vision," IAI CEO Boaz Levy said.
The scheme will help armed forces programs, transfer knowledge and advance high-end defense systems, including airborne and ground-based radars.
