Intel Watch | U.S. Surveillance Over the Strait of Hormuz

Two U.S. Navy surveillance aircraft are currently being tracked over the Strait of Hormuz:

• MQ-4C Triton — high-altitude intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance

• P-8A Poseidon — maritime surveillance and reconnaissance

The activity comes as Iranian media reports a broader increase in U.S. reconnaissance flights around Iran.

INDICATOR: The concentration of ISR assets around the Strait and Iranian airspace warrants close monitoring as regional military tensions continue to rise.
