IRIB Lawsuit: Iran’s state broadcaster (IRIB) is suing MP Mahmoud Nabavian over live televised remarks criticizing negotiators Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Abbas Araqchi. Nabavian alleged they disregarded explicit directives from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei when signing the recent MoU.
Censorship & Resignation: Nabavian's live broadcast was abruptly cut under the pretext of "technical issues." Following the incident, IRIB's responsible Director General resigned, taking blame for hosting the lawmaker.
Reciprocal Cutoff:** In an ironic turn, Chief Negotiator Qalibaf was also cut off live on air while promoting the same MoU—mimicking the exact censorship mechanism deployed against Nabavian two weeks prior.
