According to Associated Press, October 12, 2026 , Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, has issued a stark warning:
If war resumes, Tehran could target undersea communication cables, data centers, artificial intelligence facilities and other strategic infrastructure across the Gulf.
Rezaei warned that high-value American assets in the UAE and around the Strait of Hormuz remain outside Iran’s previous target lists — but could be included in a future confrontation.
Geopolitical assessment: Tehran is signaling a shift beyond conventional military deterrence. America’s regional economic and technological infrastructure could become part of the battlefield.
The message to Washington is unmistakable: another war may not remain confined to military bases and missile exchanges. The economic consequences could extend far beyond the Middle East.
These are Iranian warnings, not confirmed attack plans.
