Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson

Speaking in a phone interview with Channel Khabar, Baghaei explained that “the 14-point plan proposed by Iran is solely centered on ending the war in the region, including Lebanon, and any claims about nuclear issues are unrelated to this proposal.” He added that some of what is being reported in the media refers to past nuclear negotiations, not the current plan.

The spokesperson also rejected claims about Iranian–U.S. cooperation on demining, stating: “These allegations are fabricated by some media outlets and have no basis in the plan.”

Regarding the proposed 30-day timeframe, Baghaei said it is intended for discussions on how to implement the agreement to end the war, stressing that it “is not an ultimatum.”

In conclusion, he noted reports suggesting that the U.S. has responded to Iran’s proposal via Pakistan, saying that “the matter is under review, and an appropriate response will be taken following assessment.”
