Israeli Platforms: Some of the fighters involved in the Khan Younis operation retreated into the...

Mikhail Awad: The Khan Younis operation is a historic slap in the face of those calling for surrender

Writer and researcher Mikhail Awad described the Palestinian resistance operation in Khan Younis as an exceptional, strategic event with future-shaping implications. He asserted that it “slaps, spits, and strikes the faces of those standing in the camp of surrender and submission—those calling to freeze weapons and bury the spirit of resistance.”

In a speech on his YouTube channel, Awad said the operation shattered all the excuses used to justify betrayal under flimsy slogans like: “Israel is strong,” “America backs it,” “We can’t resist,” or “We’ve already sacrificed enough.” He argued that such claims were merely pretexts for normalization and capitulation. He added: “History is a sieve that never errs—those who achieve will be recognized, and those who conspire will be held accountable.”

Gaza: A School for Nations and a Laboratory of Resistance

Awad emphasized that Gaza proved itself not only as a force of resistance, but as a uniquely brilliant phenomenon in the history of nations. He said: “Gaza delivered a military and moral lesson, renewed the science of warfare, elevated performance, and proved that great national and pan-Arab causes can only be achieved through resistance and arms.”

He recalled key moments in Gaza’s history—from the Return Marches between 2015 and 2020, when tens of thousands faced Israeli bullets with bare chests, to the invention of incendiary balloons and kites that forced Israel to negotiate through Qatar to ease the blockade. He added: “Gaza transforms every tool, no matter how simple, into a weapon in the battle for freedom.”

Khan Younis: Half an Hour That Shook the Enemy’s Doctrine

Regarding the recent Khan Younis operation, Awad clarified that it was not a lone skirmish or a limited ambush, but a complex military assault executed by organized formations of 15 to 18 fighters. They assumed multiple roles, infiltrated a site guarded by satellites and drones, and used grenades, explosives, snipers, and machine guns in a clash that lasted a full half hour—forcing the Israeli army to bomb its own position.

He stressed that this operation came after 23 months of continuous fighting, after 90% of Gaza’s buildings were destroyed, and after more than 10% of its population was killed, wounded, or missing. He said: “Under these conditions, Gaza did not raise the white flag or surrender its weapons—it launched an offensive battle that overturned all calculations.”

The Collapse of Surrender Theories and the Illusion of ‘Unified Fronts’

Awad added that the events also dismantled all schemes aimed at liquidating Gaza—from displacement to Sinai or Canada, to governance by international security firms, to starvation and extermination. He said: “Gaza overcame all of that and presented itself as a model that spits in the face of anyone who called for abandoning resistance and arms.”ه

Criticizing the notion of “unified fronts,” he called it “a distraction for entertainment and a media lie,” noting that Israel fights one front at a time, while Gaza alone has faced and continues to endure and take initiative. He added: “Had the Golan front truly opened, the scene would be entirely different—but Gaza, despite everything, fights and triumphs.”

Strikes from God’ and an Inevitable Victory

Awad concluded by saying the operation represents “strikes from God Almighty,” and affirms that the strategic balance of power is not in Israel’s favor, regardless of its military arsenal. He added: “This operation has shifted the climate, history, and trajectories. Israel failed to free even one captive and will be forced to sit with Hamas. This is a strategic collapse that cannot be repaired. Gaza has decided: it will not raise the white flag, it will not surrender its weapons, and it will prevail.”
