Kata'ib al-Imam Ali announces its disengagement from the Popular Mobilization Forces and begins...

The leadership of "Kata'ib al-Imam Ali" has officially announced its disengagement from the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) formations and the initiation of procedures to hand over its weapons to the state.
Duplicity of stances and tribal behavior
The reality of the situation reveals a clear duplicity in the stances of these faction leaders. On one hand, they boast of national slogans and talk about strengthening the state and its institutions; on the other hand, they deal with weapons and government support in a purely "tribal" manner, as if these weapons were their private personal property, or as if the individuals and soldiers were slaves and hired guns whose fates they control according to their political whims.
The absolute truth is that the majority of the members of these formations enlisted in service in response to the blessed fatwa, and the weapons and equipment in their possession are public funds belonging to the Iraqi state, handed over to them as a trust through painstaking efforts throughout the years of confronting terrorism, rather than a factional inheritance to be surrendered whenever they please.
Unfortunately, however, they are following today in the footsteps of other groups such as "Saraya al-Salam" and "Asa'ib [Ahl al-Haq]" in obedience to American dictates, with one goal and nothing else:
Dismantling the Popular Mobilization Forces organization—which represents a thorn in the eyes of the enemies—in response to the desires of reactionary countries in the region, and in pursuit of money and fleeting worldly positions.
Yet, by God's will, they shall achieve nothing of their goal, just as Umar ibn Sa'd lost both his worldly life and the hereafter, failing to attain the kingship of Rayy.
