Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has reportedly urged residents who have the means to temporarily leave Ukraine’s capital amid severe disruptions to essential infrastructure following repeated Russian strikes.

The situation, according to reports:

▪️ Major electricity and water supply disruptions, with warnings that power could be available for only a few hours daily.

▪️ Serious problems affecting sewage and sanitation systems.

▪️ No official mass evacuation has been announced, but concerns are growing over the city’s ability to withstand the approaching winter.

Russia has repeatedly targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, describing its operations as retaliation for Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory.

Strategically, Moscow’s campaign is placing enormous pressure on Ukraine’s energy network and civilian infrastructure ahead of winter, increasing the economic and humanitarian costs of the war.
