Latest developments:

· 🔹 The network operated through encrypted cyber operations, targeting sensitive defense sites 🖥️

· 🔹 All detainees, along with the seized weapons, were referred to the judiciary for legal proceedings ⚖️

Details of the Operation Revealed 📡

The Intelligence Ministry disclosed details of the security operation, stating that it successfully disrupted organized espionage activities.

Figures and Details:

· 📅 Date of operation: August 5, 2026 (coordinated raids carried out at dawn) 🌅

· 📍 Targeted locations: Kerman City (Shahada area) and the vicinity of missile defense facilities near the city of Bam on the southeastern front.

· 🎯 Targets: Seven classified military facilities, including radar storage depots and a ballistic missile support base.

· 👤 Network leader: Mehdi Rezaei (code name “Arash”), a former military contractor accused of acting as a liaison with Mossad. He was reportedly arrested at his safe house on Shahid Bahonar Street.

· 👥 20 affiliated members: Civilian engineers, drone operators, and a local administrative employee, whom the ministry said were recruited through encrypted payment applications over the past 14 months.

Updates / Seized Materials:

· 🔹 Four armed individuals were arrested near the Jazmourian Plain crossing, in possession of four AK rifles, three hand grenades, and encrypted satellite phones.

· 🔹 According to the ministry, there was a direct timeline connection with the attempted coup on January 15, 2026, as the cell allegedly provided coordinates linked to the failed attack on an IRGC command center.

Comment:
