28 October 2026 | Jerusalem – Washington – Tehran

Netanyahu has renewed his warnings against Iran as partial Israeli election results reveal a politically divided Knesset, while reports suggest Washington is preparing options for another military confrontation.

Netanyahu’s warning: Addressing Likud supporters Wednesday morning, Netanyahu declared that

the mission against Iran was not over

and expressed his intention to work with President Donald Trump to eliminate what he described as the Iranian threat.

He argued that Iran would remain a threat as long as its current government remained in power.

Latest Israeli election results: With 60.2% of votes counted, the projected distribution of the 120-seat Knesset is:

Netanyahu’s right-wing bloc: 56 seats

Eisenkot’s opposition bloc: 48 seats

Arab parties: 16 seats

Neither main bloc has secured the 61 seats required to form a government. Netanyahu also rejected relying on Arab parties he described as anti-Zionist.

These are preliminary projections, not final results.

Washington’s military preparations: The Wall Street Journal reports that the United States has warned Gulf governments to prepare for a possible renewed military campaign against Iran after the November 3 American midterm elections.

No final American decision to attack has been confirmed.

Strategic Assessment

Netanyahu’s Iran statements now coincide with a difficult coalition-building process and reports of American military preparations.

Although his bloc leads the partial count, it remains short of a governing majority. The Arab parties could become important to coalition negotiations, despite Netanyahu’s refusal to rely on them.

For Iran and Gulf governments, the principal concern is whether military preparations become actual operations, potentially triggering retaliation and renewed disruption to the Strait of Hormuz.

The risk of escalation is significant, but war is not yet a confirmed decision.
