The Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced in an official statement issued today, Thursday, June 25, 2026, that an explosion occurred at an ammunition depot belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) inside Al-Mansouriyah camp, located in the Al-Muqdadiya district of Diyala province.

According to preliminary information released by the ministry, the incident resulted in no casualties from either the blast or the subsequent fire. Immediately following the incident, security and military units from the 1st Division and the Diyala Operations Command took the necessary measures to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring sites. Meanwhile, competent authorities have launched an urgent investigation to determine the circumstances and causes of the incident.
