Israeli media reported that opposition party leaders in the Zionist entity held a meeting today, Tuesday, in Herzliya, where they agreed to accelerate efforts to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government with a national emergency government. They also agreed that negotiating teams would immediately begin drafting coalition agreements.

The meeting followed developments from the previous day (Monday), when reports emerged that Gadi Eisenkot was being considered for the position of prime minister.

Israel’s public broadcaster, Kan 11, revealed that Eisenkot had confirmed during closed-door meetings that he would not join any government led by Netanyahu. He reportedly stressed that his decision was final, even if U.S. President Donald Trump personally asked him to reconsider.
