Outgoing Mossad Chief at his farewell ceremony: "Regime change in Iran is an achievable goal..

Occupied Jerusalem
The outgoing chief of the Israeli Mossad, David Barnea, called on Israel and the intelligence agency to remain committed to the goal of toppling and changing the ruling regime in Iran, considering that the Islamic Republic is currently experiencing its "weakest state" following the recent war.
Barnea's remarks came during a speech he delivered Monday evening at his official farewell ceremony marking the end of his five-year leadership of the agency, where he said:
I have always believed, and I still believe, that changing the reality in Iran by toppling the regime is a possible and achievable goal. This is a mission possible, and it clearly requires decisiveness, patience, and perseverance, alongside a full commitment to the mission."
Barnea pointed to the strategic shifts following the recent military confrontations, saying:
"Today, when the Iranian regime is at its weakest, most challenged, and most wounded, this is the right time to complete the mission, and to exact a price from the regime that has engraved our destruction on its banner."
He added, emphasizing:
"This mission must remain at the top of our priorities; this is our duty to future generations."
Netanyahu: The foundations of the regime have cracked and it will shatter
The ceremony was attended by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who praised Barnea's leadership period, describing it as "the most fateful in Israel's history." Commenting on the Iranian file, Netanyahu said:
"The foundations of this terror regime in Iran have cracked, and it will never return to what it was... and I tell you that it will ultimately fall."
It is noteworthy that Barnea officially hands over the leadership of the Mossad today, Tuesday, to his successor, Major General Roman Gofman, ending a 30-year career within the corridors of the intelligence agency.
