Israeli security channels say a Palestinian cell from the Ramallah area is being hunted over an alleged plan to carry out a shooting attack in the occupied West Bank.

One wanted man has been named in circulating Israeli alerts as A’ad/Aad Jamal Muhammad Halouli (עאאד גמאל מוחמד חלולי). He is described as the main wanted suspect, but there is no confirmed evidence yet that he is the commander of an established faction.

The exact number of suspects remains unknown. Israeli alerts only refer to “additional operatives” allegedly working with him.

The suspected plan reportedly involved a shooting attack on people at a roadside waiting/hitchhiking point along the Ramallah–Jerusalem corridor.

So far:

• No attack has been reported.

• No faction has claimed responsibility.

• There is no confirmed public evidence linking the suspects to Hamas, PIJ, Fatah-linked groups, or any outside actor.

The main unanswered question is what intelligence triggered such a large Israeli search operation before any attack took place — and whether this is a small local cell or part of a wider organized network.
