Respect for the Thief

Respect for the Thief 💰

By Saib Khalil (Adapted)

You have at least been honest in proving that you are a thief, not a Prime Minister. We can at least respect that honesty, revealed through your reckless conduct and appalling judgment. People exhausted themselves trying to convince themselves that you were a Prime Minister, believing you would negotiate with American companies on their behalf—not that you were simply a thief sharing Iraq’s wealth with them. 🇮🇶 💵

Has there ever been a public official anywhere in the world who openly tells companies:

“You’ll get whatever contracts you want in a single day”?

How will you and your entourage even have time to read those contracts?

When were they studied?

When were they negotiated, and when were their technical and legal details discussed?

Contracts are not concluded this way. This is called plunder, not negotiation. It requires neither study nor genuine bargaining. 🚨

The real tragedy is that it is happening openly, in front of the cameras, while the public watches as though hypnotized. 📹😔

There are no political parties with the integrity to object, no parliament willing to utter a single word, and no media left that is not paid to remain silent. 🤐

So this is the man who came to fight corruption, is it? Congratulations to all of us. 👏 ⚠️

This has become a profound disgrace and an unacceptable example—one that is enough to make any Iraqi who values dignity feel ashamed. 🇮🇶 💔
