Rezaei: Ending the War in Lebanon and Lifting Sanctions are Among Iran's Red Lines

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, asserted that Iran prefers diplomatic solutions to reach an agreement but adheres to red lines it will not retreat from. He stressed that Washington is required to make concessions because it is now in a "position of weakness."

In a television interview, Rezaei stated that Iranian red lines in any negotiations include the payment of reparations, ending the war on all fronts—including Lebanon—lifting sanctions, and the withdrawal of US forces from the region.

He considered the contradiction in US positions to remain one of the most prominent obstacles to reaching an agreement.

He added that Iran is "

steadfast in the fields of diplomacy and war"

to achieve its goals, emphasizing that the possibility of war returning remains open and that his country has prepared itself for this scenario, though it does not welcome a return to confrontation. He warned that any new war would result in greater losses for the United States.

Rezaei stressed that "Israel" seeks to continue the war in Lebanon, affirming that Iran stands by the Lebanese state and the resistance, and is committed to working to end the war there. He also announced that the naval blockade imposed on Iran will end, whether through negotiations or through military action to terminate it.

For his part, Yadollah Javani, Deputy Commander for Political Affairs of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), confirmed that Iran is negotiating today from a position of the "

victor and the stronger side,"

after having declared its conditions to end the status quo, considering that the decision now rests with the United States.

Javani said that the opposing party, whose defeat in the war has become clear to everyone, faces two choices: either continue the war or acquiesce to the rights and conditions of the Iranian people. He added that the strategic objectives of the enemies were to destroy Iran's nuclear capabilities, eliminate its missile defense system, and overthrow the regime of the Islamic Republic.

He noted that the Iranian public presence and what he described as a "national resurgence" turned the enemy's equations upside down, stressing that Iran has extended its control over the Strait of Hormuz, securing a position after five centuries that he considered

"an indisputable right of the Iranian people."

Javani concluded by emphasizing that Iranian forces are in a state of full readiness, warning that any new mistake by the enemies will be met with a response from the Islamic Republic that will be

"more firm, powerful, and beyond what can be imagined."
