Southern Lebanon under Intense Israeli Attacks — September 7
The attacks continue
Israeli warplanes and artillery have also struck or shelled:
Arab Salim
• Nabatieh al-Fawqa
• Deir Siryan
• Other areas across Nabatieh Governorate and southern Lebanon
Israel has also issued new evacuation warnings for the Deir Zahrani area, raising fears of further attacks and destruction.
A new wave of displacement
The bombardment and evacuation orders are once again forcing families to flee their homes, with civilians leaving southern villages amid continuing Israeli strikes.
Children, elderly people and entire families are being forced onto the roads with little warning and nowhere safe to go.
President Joseph Aoun has condemned the Israeli attacks as part of a
“persistent pattern of aggression”
and called on Washington and the international community to hold Israel accountable.
But the bombardment continues.
As of now, Israeli aircraft remain active over southern Lebanon, with explosions reported from multiple areas and rescue operations continuing.
The death toll may rise as rescuers continue searching through the rubble.
This is not simply another exchange of fire. Residential buildings are being flattened, civilians are being killed, rescuers are being struck, and communities are being driven from their homes.
Southern Lebanon is under attack again.
