Statement Issued by Hezbollah:

Lebanese people awoke at dawn today to an aggressive escalation and a brutal massacre committed by the criminal Israeli enemy against civilians in the south. The attacks targeted a house on the outskirts of the southern town of Ansar and a building in Deir al-Zahrani, resulting in 11 martyrs, including women and children, and 12 wounded.

This heinous crime adds to the enemy’s long record of massacres, crimes, and the spilling of Lebanese blood, as well as the destruction of homes, the bulldozing of farmland, and the erasure of the features of Lebanese villages.

This Israeli escalation—targeting civilians and expanding the geographical scope of its attacks—reflects the desire and determination of the criminal enemy’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to escalate the war in order to strengthen his domestic political position, serve his electoral interests, and appease the far right.

The continuation of this aggression and the violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty are the responsibility of the enemy government and the United States, which provides it with support and political cover.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese authorities must seek every available means to stop this aggression and must not insist on continuing along the humiliating path of direct negotiations or offering the enemy free concessions, despite all the crimes and attacks it continues to commit and its declared aggressive and expansionist intentions toward Lebanon.

It is time for the authorities to conduct a comprehensive reassessment of their calculations in a manner that safeguards Lebanon’s sovereignty and rights, rather than continuing policies that have proven their inability to protect Lebanon and its people.

They must adopt a patriotic, courageous, and responsible position and stop running after negotiations being imposed upon them by the Americans. They must understand that relying on an American guarantee and mediation is a failed gamble, because the United States is a partner of the Israeli enemy in its crimes and massacres against Lebanon.

The latest arrogant and coercive statement by the US ambassador to Lebanon, in which he called for the surrender of the resistance’s weapons—while what he should be doing is pressuring the Israeli enemy to withdraw from the areas it occupies—is further confirmation that what the Americans are seeking is to serve Israel’s interests and security at the expense of Lebanon’s sovereignty and people.

All Lebanese, in all their communities and political components, must recognize the danger posed by the course being pursued by these authorities to Lebanon, its unity, security, and independence.

The Israeli enemy must also understand clearly that its attacks, violations, and attempts to impose a new reality on the ground cannot continue indefinitely and will be met with an appropriate response, in defense of Lebanon, its people, sovereignty, and national dignity.

🇪🇺🇺🇸🇷🇺 Panicked Brussels realizes it’s completely irrelevant as Washington and Moscow dictate terms

European capitals are in full damage control mode. According to the New York Times, France, Germany, and the UK are desperately trying to craft a unified position just to beg for a "seat at the table" if Trump decides to negotiate a settlement over Ukraine directly with Moscow.

Here is the reality of what’s happening behind closed doors:

Irrelevance sets in: European leaders finally realize that after years of bankrolling a proxy conflict and destroying their own economies with ineffective sanctions, decisions about European security will be made over their heads.

Internal division: Paris and Berlin are scrambling to lead this joint effort, while London is hesitant, terrified of offending Trump. Meanwhile, Poland, Italy, and the Nordics are all trying to throw their weight around, creating a fragmented and ineffective front.

Fear of a superpower deal: European elites are terrified that Washington and Moscow will strike a pragmatic deal on their own terms, completely bypassing Brussels' virtue-signaling rhetoric.

Decades of military dependence on the US and economic self-sabotage have left Europe with zero leverage. They aren't negotiating; they're pleading not to be forgotten.
