Statement issued by Hezbollah regarding the American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic...

Hezbollah condemns the treacherous American-Israeli aggression that targeted the Islamic Republic of Iran after months of Zionist and American threats aimed at subjugating the Islamic Republic, forcing it to surrender, and stripping it of its natural and legitimate right to possess peaceful nuclear power and develop its defensive missile capabilities, like all other countries in the world.

This new aggression, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter, is a continuation of the approach of arrogance and hegemony practiced by the U.S. administration and the criminal Zionist entity in our region, in a desperate attempt to destabilize it, subjugate its peoples, and force them to accept projects of dominance and occupation.

What is happening today, following the failure of the twelve-day war launched by the Israeli enemy with direct American participation, confirms that the issue was never the nuclear program. Rather, it is the refusal to accept a strong state in the region that relies on itself, upholds its sovereignty and independent national decision-making—a capable state that protects its resources, develops its capabilities, refuses to join the system of American dependency, supports free and oppressed peoples in the world, and stands as a formidable barrier against Zionist-American schemes in the region. Instead, they want weak, depleted entities that are easy to control and isolate in preparation for implementing their occupation and colonial plans.

This aggression will only increase the strength, resilience, steadfastness, and adherence of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people to their legitimate rights. Over decades of blockade, threats, and attacks, Iran has proven to be a strong, established state resistant to surrender, backed by a proud people standing as one in defense of their dignity and sovereignty. As Hezbollah declares its full solidarity with the leadership and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it calls upon the countries and peoples of the region to stand against this aggressive scheme and recognize its danger, as its dire consequences will affect everyone without exception if left without firm confrontation. We are confident that the American and Israeli enemy will receive a major blow and will reap nothing but failure from their tyrannical and criminal aggression.
