The "Freedom" Mirage: Hegemony vs. Sovereignty in the Strait

Pete Hegseth’s "Project Freedom" is less a gift to the world and more a provocative militarization of the Strait of Hormuz—a waterway where 20-30% of global oil passes daily. By deploying the USS Carney or USS Arleigh Burke-class destroyers alongside hundreds of aerial assets, Washington isn't "protecting" trade; it is enforcing a unilateral blockade under the guise of freedom.

If the ceasefire is a "separate project," why is the US escalating its footprint now? This "Red, White, and Blue dome" ignores the reality of indigenous regional security. Does a "gift" require 100+ fighter jets to be accepted?

The Axis of Resistance views this not as security, but as a desperate attempt to reclaim leverage over the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab, where US naval supremacy has been fundamentally challenged by asymmetric capabilities over the last 24 months.

The Real Question:

Can a foreign power thousands of miles away truly "control" a strait through brute force, or is this "dome" a fragile display of a fading empire?
