Rabbinical Takfiri Groups… Is Israel Heading Toward Its End?

Rabbinical Takfiri Groups… Is Israel Heading Toward Its End?

Author: Dr. Abdullah Maarouf

Source: Al Jazeera Net

Dr. Abdullah Maarouf examines the phenomenon of “takfir” and the stripping of legitimacy within Israeli society, arguing that it is no longer merely a matter of ideological disagreement, but has evolved into a dangerous tool of fragmentation.

He argues that:

“The transformation of the concept of the enemy from an external enemy to hostility within society itself may lead to diverting attention from any external threat and directing it toward the internal enemy.”

The article traces how rabbinical authorities increasingly classify those who disagree with them—particularly secular Israelis—from accusations of heresy and apostasy, to stripping them of their national identity, and eventually invoking radical Talmudic concepts such as “Rodef” (the pursuer), which has historically been interpreted in extremist contexts as legitimizing killing in the name of protecting society. ⚔️

The author warns that the growing rift between secular Israelis, whom religious factions portray as responsible for

“bringing divine wrath,”

and religious Israelis, whom secular factions view as a burden seeking to impose religious law while avoiding military service, could deepen dramatically.

The situation becomes even more dangerous with the empowerment and normalization of extremist currents, as the article warns:

“Strengthening the Religious Zionist current in recent years and spreading weapons among them could cause efforts to control the streets to collapse into a bloody internal conflict.”

The Key Question:

How far could these internal fractures go before they escalate into armed confrontation? 🔥

Could we eventually see settlers invoking the ideological logic associated with Yigal Amir, the assassin of former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, and declaring that those who oppose them deserve to be killed? ⚠️
