Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian forces targeted four sites linked to Russia’s ability to finance and conduct the war over the past 24 hours.

According to Zelensky, the strikes included two oil facilities and a military training area across the regions of Perm, Samara and Astrakhan, in addition to an operation against a target in the Black Sea, the nature of which was not disclosed in detail.

Kyiv describes these operations as a direct response to Russian strikes, as part of an escalating strategy aimed at shifting the war of attrition toward energy facilities and military infrastructure inside Russian territory, rather than limiting the confrontation to the front lines.

So far, no comprehensive independent details have emerged regarding the extent of damage at all the targeted sites or the exact nature of the target struck in the Black Sea.

The battle is moving increasingly deeper into the rear: oil infrastructure, military bases and logistical facilities are becoming a central part of the war of attrition between Moscow and Kyiv.
