The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned of worsening health and environmental conditions in displacement shelters, noting that 52% of displaced families live amidst overflowing sewage and contaminated pools near the shelters, which increases the risk of disease outbreaks.
The agency added that 64% of families reported their children suffering from skin diseases, in light of an acute shortage of medicines and the continuous deterioration of health and environmental services.
