U.S. Cancels Nuclear Talks with Iran After Tehran Rejects Washington’s Conditions

The United States has canceled the nuclear talks scheduled for Friday with Iran after Tehran rejected Washington’s conditions regarding the location and format of the meeting, according to U.S. officials.

Washington emphasized that it remains ready to meet if Iran returns to the original framework. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stressed that any negotiations must include both Iran’s nuclear program and its ballistic missile program.

Tehran, for its part, stated that the canceled talks were intended to focus solely on the nuclear program, excluding discussions on missiles.
