Iran — Kharg Island
A small Iranian oil tanker was reportedly targeted in a missile strike carried out by U.S. forces approximately four miles from Kharg Island, in the anchorage area.
Local sources confirmed that the attack caused no loss of life. The tanker’s crew began evacuating the vessel, while official authorities have not yet released further details regarding the extent of the material damage.
In response to the attack, the IRGC Navy Command issued an urgent warning calling on the crews of oil tankers located within the waters and port facilities of Kuwait and Bahrain to immediately leave their vessels, whether they are at anchor or alongside the docks.
The IRGC warned that these vessels and their crews could become targets in retaliation for what it described as the “criminal actions of the U.S. terrorist military in targeting Iranian oil tankers.”
