American pressure on Iraq is intensifying once again, amid reports that Washington has warned Baghdad against allowing Iraqi resistance factions to participate in attacks targeting Saudi Arabia in coordination with Yemen’s Ansarallah movement.

The question is: Can Washington succeed in keeping Iraq out of the confrontation, or will further escalation make that increasingly difficult?
