The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that they had carried out a large-scale preemptive military operation involving dozens of ballistic missiles and drones, targeting gatherings and positions of Saudi forces in the Jizan region. The targets reportedly included operations rooms, command-and-control centers, weapons depots, and missile-launch platforms in the Al-Tuwal area of Jizan, as well as the Al-Daghagir Camp in Jizan.

According to the statement, the operation came in response to continued escalation and attacks against border areas in the governorates of Saada and Hajjah. It claimed that more than 200 missiles had been launched from the Jizan area and that extensive concentrations and deployments of Saudi forces had been detected, with the stated aim of escalating tensions along the border.

The statement further claimed that the operation resulted in hundreds of casualties among the assembled forces, including dozens of Saudi officers and soldiers, and the destruction of several weapons depots.

The Yemeni Armed Forces stressed that they would continue responding to any escalation until the aggression is halted and the blockade is lifted.
